Another Croatian company finds itself on a highly desirable list.
Croatia’s business environment might have its woes, and it would be foolish to try to make out that the situation is any different, but there are a great many small companies and startups which do indeed manage to break the mold and come out on top, some of them even going on to win prestigious titles and awards at the EU level.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 27th of September, 2018, according to one prominent European Commission figure, small and medium enterprises are the backbone of the European economy, which is a sector that continues on a good path, is solid, and is growing.
Comping, one of the strongest Croatian ICT companies, has found itself proudly listed on a list of one thousand companies which inspire Europe (1000 Companies to Inspire Europe 2018). This list was published on Tuesday.
The report was developed in close cooperation with numerous important business and banking organisations such as the AFME and the European Banking Federation, and was also presented at the European Parliament in the Belgian capital of Brussels on Tuesday.
“Small and medium enterprises are the backbone of the European economy, which is solid and growing. Thanks to structural reforms in [European Union] member states, but also owing to dynamic and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises that are experiencing high growth rates, employment has reached new record levels, with almost 240 million people employed.
We must continue onwards with this journey and create a favourable business environment that enables state-of-the-art innovators and capable small and medium-sized enterprises to grow and achieve their full potential,” stated Jyrki Katainen, Vice President of the European Commission.
