The biggest Croatian manufacturer of smart benches is on tour of Croatian embassies all over Europe.
Remember Ivan Mrvoš, one of the most renowned young innovators in Croatia? He presented his smart bench Steora in the Croatian embassy in London on Wednesday, October 11. His top-quality product, already well-known around the world, is thus about to enter the British and Irish markets, reports Poslovni dnevnik on October 13, 2017.
“We’re facing a five-year plan of developing a strong global brand, company and product. At this moment, I wouldn’t call our undertakings a big success, but rather first small steps that are necessary for the future of our business. The market of Smart City solutions and the Internet of things (IoT) is currently going through a powerful momentum. Many companies are trying to position themselves on said market with various products, so we’re currently fighting our way to the top tier of leading companies”, said Mrvoš for Poslovni dnevnik. He added their Steora benches are their most important product at the moment, as they have invested countless hours of work and multiple million kuna in the development of technologies used in the product itself.
“I’d say we’ve taken a big risk with this business model, but it seems that major global companies are starting to recognise our technologies and want to collaborate with us. Apart from the benches, I believe we’ll soon enter the market with our technologies as part of other Smart City and IoT products made by various companies”, stated Mrvoš.
According to Andrijana Brkulj, the sales representative of Mrvoš’s company Include for Great Britain and Ireland, the presentation in London was the first in line of many to come, all part of a project titled Smart Bench on Tour. The bench will be presented in selected Croatian embassies all over Europe, staying on display for a week at each embassy. “The company’s goal is to increase their presence in around 30 countries. Include currently employs 40 people and is the biggest Croatian manufacturer of smart benches”, said Brkulj.
Six Steora benches were installed in Dubai a few months ago, and the company already signed contracts with Australia, Denmark, Hungary and Sweden. In the next five years, 2700 benches will be exported to Australia alone, as part of a contract worth 40 million kuna.
