August the 15th, 2023 – The Croatian PEVEX company is going ahead with the construction of a new central warehouse which carries the eye-watering price tag of 13.5 million euros.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, The Jankomir location close to the heart of Zagreb will serve as an excellent position going forward for this large Croatian enterprise.
The Croatian PEVEX company is now starting construction of their new central warehouse, which will be a modern logistics distribution centre when completed. The new facility will span more than 15,000 square metres with its associated areas, roads and various new horticultural facilities.
A 13.5 million euro price tag
The contractor for the investment worth almost 13.5 million euros is the domestic company Projektgradnja plus d.o.o. from Slavonski Brod, and the planned completion of the works is currently set for the middle of 2024. The designer and project supervision is Rechner d.o.o. from Osijek, with the main designer being architect Bruno Rechner. The professional supervision of the works will be performed by the company Extructa d.o.o., another Croatian company from Zagreb.
Due to its perfect location in terms of traffic, its close proximity to the busy Zagreb ring road and easy access to the motorway, the western part of Zagreb proved to be an ideal location for the future Croatian PEVEX Logistics Distribution Centre.
“This year has so far been marked by large capital investments that will certainly contribute to the further planned growth and development of the company. We started this investment cycle, the most significant in the past few years, by modernising our sales centre in Virovitica, and we’re continuing with the construction of the new central warehouse, our new sales centres in Poreč and Zabok, and the opening of a new store in Vrbovec. Our investments aren’t going to be stopping there, either. We’re already nearing the end of negotiations for some more locations. Our goal in the short term is to have forty sales centres dotted all over Croatia”, said the company’s CEO, Krešimir Bubalo.
The new central warehouse of the Croatian PEVEX company in Zagreb’s wider Jankomir area will be equipped with solar panels for the production of electricity. This only further confirms the sustainable direction of the company. In that same sense, this well-known enterprise is leaning heavily into the development and application of ecological solutions aimed at preserving the environment, engaging in sustainable business, and saving energy.
