Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović to Visit China Next Week

The Croatian President’s busy travel schedule continues to China. 

Following the invitation of president of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, Croatian president Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović will pay a state visit to the People’s Republic of China from Tuesday, October 14, to Sunday, October 18, where she will meet with the highest ranking officials of the Chinese government, reports Vecernji List on October 8, 2015.

In addition to her host, president of the People’s Republic of China, during her stay in China the president will meet with Chinese prime minister Li Keqiang, as well as with the chairman of the National People’s Congress Zhang Dejiang. She will also take part in the Global Forum on Poverty Reduction and Development.

The president will also visit Shanghai where she will meet with the mayor of Shanghai Yang Xiong, as well as with numerous Croatian and Chinese businesspeople at the offices of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce in China. In Hong Kong, she will meet with the General Manager of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong Leung Chun-ying.

During her visit to People’s Republic of China, the president will meet with the Croatian community in Beijing and lay a wreath at the monument to national heroes at the Tian’anmen Square. The presidential visit to China will mark the 10th anniversary of the Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Partnership in General Cooperation Between the Republic of Croatia and the People’s Republic of China.
