June the 22nd, 2026 – Air Serbia now connects Belgrade and Brač, with the new direct seasonal link making it far easier to get to the popular Dalmatian island.

A new direct air connection between Belgrade and Brač has officially begun, with the first passengers arriving to a warm welcome on the Croatian island. The new seasonal route, operated by Air Serbia, aims to make travel between Serbia and one of Croatia’s most popular summer destinations easier and faster.

Index reports that the first aircraft from Belgrade landed at Brač Airport, where passengers were greeted with traditional music, refreshments, and representatives from local tourism organisations and the airport. The welcoming ceremony created a festive atmosphere, and many travellers expressed their excitement about the new connection.

The new route is especially significant because it provides a direct link that previously did not exist. Travellers from Serbia who wanted to reach Brač often had to use more complicated routes, including travelling through other Croatian airports and continuing by road or ferry. With the new flight, the journey becomes much more convenient for tourists looking to spend their holidays on the Adriatic coast.

The seasonal flights will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, during the summer period. The service is planned to run from June the 20th until September the 12th, giving visitors the opportunity to travel during the main tourist season.

Passengers arriving on the first flight praised both the new route and the reception they received. Some travellers said the direct connection made visiting Brač much simpler, while others highlighted the emotional significance of returning to the island after many years. One passenger mentioned that she had last visited Brač more than four decades ago and described the new flight as a major improvement compared with previous travel options.

The route also represents a step forward in regional tourism cooperation. Brač is known for its beaches, clear waters, Mediterranean atmosphere, and landmarks such as Zlatni Rat near Bol, one of Croatia’s most recognisable coastal locations. The island attracts visitors interested not only in seaside holidays but also in sailing, hiking, water sports, and local cuisine.

For Air Serbia, the introduction of flights to Brač strengthens its presence in the Croatian market. The airline already operates routes connecting Serbia with several Croatian cities, and the Brač service expands its seasonal offer toward Adriatic destinations.

Overall, the launch of the Belgrade–Brač route has been welcomed by passengers and tourism officials as a practical and symbolic connection between two neighbouring countries. The enthusiastic reception of the first flight suggests strong interest in easier travel links across the region during the summer season.
