ZAGREB, February 7, 2018 – As many as 217,000 tourists visited Croatian destinations during January, which was 20% more than in January 2017, and their overnight stays climbed by 17% to 612,000, according to the statistics provided by the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) on the basis of figures collected by eVisitor and eCrew systems.
Foreign visitors accounted for 126,000 arrivals (+22%) and for 377,000 overnight stays (+21%), and the number of domestic tourists and their overnight stays rose by 17% and 12% respectively.
In January, the top destinations were Zagreb, Istria and Rijeka and islands off Rijeka.
