The leading global financial publication Euromoney has awarded UniCredit several of its prestigious awards for excellence. The names of the winners of the awards were announced at a ceremony held in London. The UniCredit group received five awards, including the best bank in Croatia, the best bank in Italy, the best bank in wealth management in Central and Eastern Europe, and the best bank in transactional services in Central and Eastern Europe. Also, the Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit, Jean Pierre Mustier, was declared banker of the year, reports Poslovni.hr on 7 July 2017.
“I would like to congratulate and thank all my colleagues because everyone in the Group has contributed to these awards that we have won. I receive the award for a banker of the year on their behalf. I am grateful for the efforts our team has invested over the past 12 months. We will continue tirelessly to encourage the transformation of the group we are building on a straightforward and fruitful pan-European business model that will make UniCredit the most popular bank wherever we are present,” said Mustier.
“Jean Pierre Mustier was appointed to this position nearly a year ago and has gone far on the path of transformation of UniCredit, a troubled Italian bank, into a European bank with the positive future. His most notable achievement may consist of the fact that the story of UniCredit is a story about a management team which is headed by a pragmatic and decisive chief executive who stands firmly with both feet on the ground and who managed to restore the sense of pride and purpose to a troubled institution,” says Euromoney in a statement on the banker of the year award for 2017.
On behalf of the Zagrebačka Banka, the award for the best bank in Croatia was received by chief executive officer Miljenko Živaljić and general manager Claudio Cesario.

We are focused on transforming the bank’s operations, introducing new technologies and providing optimal solutions for our customers.
