ZAGREB, March 22, 2018 – The eastern Croatian areas of Slavonia and Baranja will be connected with new bus services to Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, including the airports of Budapest and Vienna, to be operated by the Flixbus company.

The new bus connections were presented by Flixbus executive Dean Čebohin in Osijek on Wednesday.

Thus, the eastern Croatian regions will have direct bus services to 20 destinations in seven countries whereby Slavonia will become part of a network of bus lines throughout Europe.

FlixBus, a company which offers intercity bus services all over Europe and which entered Croatia’s market in early 2016, said in late August that during the summer of 2017 the number of passengers transported by this bus company on the Croatian market increased three times in comparison to the summer of 2016. The highest number of passengers transported by FlixBus travelled to Zagreb, Split, Rijeka and Pula, and when it comes to destinations abroad, the most sought-after destinations were Munich, Ljubljana, Vienna and Budapest.

FlixBus operates an extensive network with over 250,000 daily connections to over 1,400 destinations in 26 European countries.
