A little French cleanliness for Croatia.
France Samsic Corporation has in recent days executed an acquisition which includes the Croatian market as well, reports Poslovni.hr on November 13, 2015. It has bought Slovenian company Eko-Poslovi engaged in cleaning and maintenance of business premises which, in addition to Slovenia, also has subsidiaries in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, and employs in total about 1,600 workers.
Fiat and Hyundai, Atlantic Group, Imlek, Pharma Swiss, Mercator and Dexi Co., H&M, Deichmann, Lindex, Fashion Companz and Modiana are just a few customers from a long list of companies and references which Eko-Poslovi brings to its new owner. Samsic was founded in 1986. Annual income of the company last year amounted to almost 1.6 billion euros and net profits exceeded 100 million euros. In addition to France, the company is present in Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, where they work with about 20,000 clients.
Robert Majerić will continue as the director of Croatian branch of Eko-Poslovi, since the business model of the French company is to show its confidence in local managers. According to publicly available data, last year Eko-Poslovi in Croatia had 84 employees and had 8.2 million kuna of revenue, with net profits of 364,000 kuna. Samsic reportedly paid four million euros for the whole acquisition. The owner of the French company will come to Ljubljana next week together with his closest associates and is reportedly ready for new investments in the region.
French capital in Croatia has so far been present in several projects, among them the Istrian highway system and Société Générale, as well as the expansion of the Zagreb Airport. Samsic reportedly decided to come to this market thanks to good experience of French businesses which are already operating here.
