Laguna Novigrad becomes Aminess, amid ambitious investment plans.
Almost two years after it became involved with HTP Orebić and Korčula in Dalmatia, the Istrian tourist company Laguna Novigrad has decided to rebrand its hotels, which will operate under the new tourist brand Aminess Hotels & Campsites from the beginning of next year. The rebranding will be followed by an investment of 25 million kuna in 2016, reports Poslovni.hr on December 8, 2015.
The new brand is the result of research among the guests, partners and employees of the company which was conducted for Laguna Novigrad by the Carli+Sosa agency for creative communication and brand management. Aminess comes from “ami” (which means “friend” in French) which is synonymous with the approach that Laguna Novigrad has been nurturing for years, the company explained. “The new brand will mark the end of another successful investment cycle which has been accompanied by the continuous increase in revenues and overnight stays, investments in facilities and the expansion of business in Dalmatia. With these initiatives, Laguna Novigrad has expanded its operations, which made the rebranding an obvious choice”, Zrinka Bokulić, general manager of Laguna Novigrad, said and added that the new brand will not bring any changes in the legal sense.
In 2016, the company expects to invest in the renovation of certain facilities and to improve their energy efficiency and environmental protection. Aminess Hotel Mistral will welcome the new season with a renovated restaurant. Hotel Feral in Brna on Korčula will get a new beach, and after the implementation of the rebranding process will be called Aminess Hotel Lume. Together with the Prosperus Invest Fund, Laguna Novigrad is one of the founders of Dalmacija Hoteli company, which in January 2014 took over a majority stake in HTP Korčula and Orebić.
Since their Dalmatian portfolio has a slightly shorter season than the one in Istria, one of the goals of the company is to introduce new initiatives which will increase the average annual occupancy rate. Aminess Camp Park Mareda in Novigrad will get 40 new mobile homes with two swimming pools and will operate under the Mirami Familiy Village brand. Aminess point out that almost a third of planned investments in 2016 are related to projects which should improve energy efficiency and environmental protection, which is the reason why they will be partly financed by the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.
