Minister Boris Lalovac to send his new proposal to the Parliament
It seems that the solution to the burning “Swiss franc loan” problem is finally at hand. According to Jutarnji list’s exclusive report (information received from Government sources), Croatian government is hurrying to finish a new proposal to convert existing Swiss Franc loans into Euro with the partial write-off of the principal amount.
Government’s proposal, which will soon be presented to the Parliament, will consist of completely equalizing citizens with loans in Swiss Francs with those who have loans in Euros.
Minister Lalovac’s plan is to enable, with a special legislative provision, a conversion to Euro to all citizens with loans in Swiss Francs regardless of the type of loan they have and the banks will receive tax incentives in return.
