July the 18th, 2023 – Zagreb Stock Exchange turnover increased by an encouraging 24 percent during the first half of this year, with 129.5 million euros earned.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, in the first half of this year, 129.5 million euros of turnover was realised on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, equal to almost 24 percent more than in the previous half-year. At the same time, the turnover of shares increased by 28 percent, to 113 million euros, and of ETFs by 21.2 percent, reaching an impressive 113 million euros.
12 percent growth in market capitalisation
Stock market trading statistics also show growth in market capitalisation reaching almost 12 percent, with a slightly faster growth in share capitalisation of 14 percent. In the same period, however, the capitalisation of ETFs almost doubled, increasing by a huge 93.5 percent.
Almost all indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange experienced a double-digit increase in the first half of the year. CROBEXnutris had the mildest growth of all, growing by 11.7 percent, while CROBEXindustrija/industry boasted the best result of 48.4 percent.
“Total return” indexes grew above the level of 20 percent. CROBEXtr grew by 22.6 percent and CROBEX10tr by 21.8 percent, “which testifies to the solid dividend yield of the shares in their composition”, they noted from the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Investor focus
The primary focus of investors throughout the first half of the year was Span’s shares, with a turnover of 15 million euros and a price increase of almost 70 percent. In terms of liquidity, shares of the giant domestic tourism company Valamar Riviera are followed with 10.7 million euros and a price growth of 10.6 percent. Then came Hrvatski telekom/Croatian telecom which collected around 9 million euros while its share price increased by almost seven percent.
