ZAGREB, April 27, 2018 – Croatia’s industrial turnover in February 2018 dropped by 5.8% from the previous month and increased by 1.7% compared with February 2017, according to figures released by the State Bureau of Statistics (DZS) on Friday.
Compared with January 2018, industrial turnover declined by 5.7% on the domestic market and by 8.8% on the foreign market. Compared with February 2017, it fell by 1.0% on the domestic market and increased by 5.2% on the foreign market.
Broken down by sector, compared with January 2018, sales of energy fell by 27.6%, of durable consumer goods by 22.0%, of intermediate goods by 6.6%, of non-durable consumer goods by 3.8%, and of capital goods by 1.1%.
Compared with February 2017, sales of energy increased by 19.0%, of consumer non-durables by 3.9%, of consumer durables by 3.4%, and of intermediate goods by 3.1%. A decrease was recorded only in capital goods sales, of 11.2%.
