Good news for Plava Laguna employees.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 24th of July, 2018, this year alone, Poreč’s popular Plava Laguna (Blue Lagoon) has allocated almost 1.5 million kuna for the purpose of seasonal incentives for its employees, with a 500 kuna bonus already paid on top of regular salaries for the month of June.

They claim from Plava Laguna that these 500 kuna bonuses have already been paid for June, and will be included in July’s salary too. A total of 2,587 workers in various positions within the large company received the welcome bonus in their wage packets.

Plava Laguna state that they have been rewarding their employees in such a manner for years by paying them seasonal incentives, for which, as previously mentioned, they allocated almost 1.5 million kuna in 2018. The calculation of salaries and seasonal bonuses are regulated by a collective agreement which takes the pension scheme into account.

Continual support and rewards are a given for Plava Laguna employees, and alongside other increases, this year the basic salary has seen an increase of four percent. In addition, seasonal workers are also selected each year to win awards, aimed at helping those who have done particularly well in their education and training to continue to do their very best to continue making further progress.

According to a statement, the top Poreč company is otherwise the first company in the Republic of Croatia to employ more workers in one of the numerous forms of permanent employment, with less than half of them employed as seasonal workers.

The company has also pointed out that this year, as much as 10 percent of the total capital budget was invested back into the private accommodation in which company employees live, with the door always remaining open for continued investment so that Plava Laguna’s workers get to enjoy the highest quality of living both during their working hours and during their free time.

“Plava Laguna is continuously improving the rights of its workers, as well as the conditions of their accommodation and the stay of workers in our destinations. We’ll continue with the increase in quality of the conditions and the accommodation because we’re aware that our development rests on the backs of satisfied workers,” they state from Poreč.
