Residential Property Prices in Croatia Rise by 3.8%

ZAGREB, January 23, 2018 – Residential property prices in Croatia increased by 0.6% in the third quarter of 2017 compared with the previous quarter and by 3.8% in comparison with the third quarter of 2016, according to figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics (DZS).

Newly-built residential properties increased in prices by an average of 1.1% both in relation to the second quarter of 2017 and the third quarter of 2016. Prices of the existing residential properties rose by 0.5% on average compared with the second quarter of 2017 and by 4.3% against the third quarter of 2016.

In the third quarter of last year compared with the second quarter, residential property prices were up 3.7% in Zagreb, while in the Adriatic region and elsewhere in the country they were down 1.1% and 0.7% respectively.

Compared with the third quarter of 2016, residential property prices rose by an average of 4.4% in Zagreb, 3.6% in the Adriatic region and 2.5% in other areas.
