May 31, 2018 – The seventh Split Shift IT conference has opened. TCN was there.
Shift 2018, starting from today, is happening at Croatian National Theatre in Split for 7 years in row and this year it will bring together more 1300 attendees. During the two conference days, Shift is the place to be for all the developers.
At the conference, you can learn about innovative and new technologies, techniques and the hot trends in developer space. The speakers are coming from all over the world from companies like GitHub, Twitch, Atlassian, GitLab, Heroku, Google, Facebook and many more.
Industry experts and thought leaders will present some of the most exciting technologies: React, React Native, Webpack, and Symphony. Hands-on workshops are running parallel with the lectures on both days.
TCN caught up for a minute with Ivan Burazin, from Codeanywhere, the conference organizer. He told us he is very happy with the conference growth – the first day of this year’s conference was one of the busiest ever and some people even queued up on a hot sunny day in Split in front of the Croatian National Theatre just to get into the conference.
His plan for next year is to keep up with quality of the conference, but says the conference has a limited number of attendees as its traditionally taking place in Croatian National Theatre in Split – it offers the perfect place for a blend of a traditional venue and talks about modern technologies. He says all the attendees usually have an IT background or with closely with IT sector – lectures and workshops are adjusted to this sector and this what makes this conference one of the unique events of this kind in Split.
The event in this two days has total of 10 workshops, 24 speakers and numbers of international and local attendees. Check the full schedule here.
