Hailed as the most beautiful in Croatia, Rujevica’s new INTERSPAR is set to open its doors for the first time tomorrow.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 14th of March, 2018, what is being referred to as the ”most beautiful” INTERSPAR hypermarket in the Republic of Croatia extends to a plot of total area of 16,066 square meters.

The architectural solution was signed by the internationally acclaimed Rijeka architect Idis Turato, and in just eight months, it was acheived by the SPAR construction team in collaboration with local contractors led by GP Krk.

Tomorrow, on Thursday, March the 15th at 20:00, INTERSPAR Rujevica is set to finally open its doors to customers for the very first time. It will employ 120 workers and over 4,000 square store sales areas will offer more than 30,000 products to customers.

When it comes to what is on the shelves of the new hypermarket, more than 70 percent are domestic products, including those of numerous local producers.

“23 million euro was invested in INTERSPAR at Rujevica, and besides the facility itself, the project involved the construction of access roads and a roundabout, the fifth largest in Croatia. This way, people are assured a safe and secure arrival to Rujevica and the infrastructure has been improved,” stated Helmut Fenzl, CEO of SPAR Croatia.

INTERSPAR is located on the ground floor of a newly built centre, and underneath it lies a large underground garage with 222 parking spaces and 5 charging stations for electric vehicles, there are also 40 parking spaces in the car park outside. On the ground floor, customers will be able to take a break at the “Tutto Bene” restaurant with a terrace and a beautiful sea view.

During the entire project of design and construction, special attention was paid to the purchasing experience and the various needs of customers.

Owing to this particular attention to detail, INTERSPAR Rujevica boasts a completely new interior design concept with an open, breathable and clear space. The building is made from natural materials, in line with energy saving trends, and visually stunning glass from the southwest facing all the way to the first floor, offering a beautiful view of Rijeka and of Kvarner Bay.
