From January to October of this year, a total of 37,805 new vehicles were sold, which is 20.7 percent more than in the same period last year.
In October, Croatia sold 2,889 new cars, which is 16.3% more than in October last year. In the first ten months of this year, sales increased by more than 20%, according to data from Promocija plus, reports Poslovni.hr.
From January to October of this year, a total of 37,805 new vehicles were sold, which is 20.7% more than the same period last year, when only 31,299 new vehicles were sold.
In October, customers mostly bought the Volkswagen (VW) Golf with 151 vehicles sold, while second place, with 111 cars sold, was shared between the Škoda Octavia and Suzuki Vitara. The third best-selling vehicle was the Škoda Fabia with 108 sales.
In October, the brand VW sold 440 vehicles, Škoda sold 344, and Renault 212. For Croatian citizens, the most attractive premium cars is the German trio: BMW in first with 103 vehicles sold in October, Audi in second with 93 vehicles sold, and Mercedes in third with 77 vehicles sold.
In the first ten months of this year, VW sold a total of 5,330 cars, Opel sold 3,715, Renault sold 3,212, Škoda sold 3,108 and Ford sold 2,650.
According to the type of fuel, 57% of cars sold in the first ten months of this year were using diesel fuel, 41% of them used gasoline, while the remaining percentage went to other plants.
