Zadar Gets Another McDonalds

Lauren Simmonds

Zadar has been ”graced” with another McDonalds restaurant, this time with some of the most modern features already seen in other locations and cities.

McDonalds always manages to cause a debate wherever it goes, and Croatia is no exception to that rule.

With some preferring the rich taste of cevapcici to chicken nuggets and Big Macs, and believing that the introduction of the famous (or infamous, it depends how one views it), American fast food chain is far from in line with Dalmatia and its traditional cuisine, some have developed something of a taste for fast food from across the Atlantic, and welcome the introduction of the internationally popular food chain.

Despite the eternal bickering McDonalds seems to bring with it wherever it pops up, Zadar has just obtained its second McDonalds restaurant, with some of the more modern payment features currently seen in other restaurants across the country and indeed the continent. As opposed to simply ordering and paying in person, payment can now be made via a kiosk or cash on the desk in an attempt to remove longer waiting times.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 23rd of March, 2018, Zadar’s second McDonalds was opened as part of the brand new Supernova Zadar shopping centre, on which we reported very recently. This restaurant, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, is described as an ideal place to relax visiting the very many shops available in the shiny new centre.

The restaurant’s new “Made For You” concept has improved the way food is prepared and served: it is prepared for each guest only when each order is confirmed. This more modern approach reportedly ensures fresher food for each guest.
