Concours Mondial de Bruxelles – Rosé Wines Session

March the 18th, 2024 – Split is set to host a very important international wine event – Concours Mondial de Bruxelles – Rosé Wines Session – from the 20th to the 22nd of March at Hotel Amphora.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Dalmatian Wine Association is set to be the organiser of another important wine event and host to a significant number of people from the wine world. The upcoming event, scheduled to begin on the 20th of this month, consists of 57 international wine judges who will arrive in the City of Split from all over the world.

While in beautiful Dalmatia, they will have the opportunity to choose some of the best rosé wines from almost 1,200 samples received from all over the world, including numerous samples from the host country of Croatia. In addition, this year will see a record number of reported samples.

Dalmatia wasn’t chosen to be the host of this prestigious competition by mere chance. Split was a logical choice considering that Dalmatia, as a well known and respected wine region, is the most important producer of rosé wines in all of Croatia and stands out for both its quantity and quality of locally made rosé wine.

The three-day judging will take place in Hotel Amphora, and during and after the competition, the judges and supporting journalists visit numerous Dalmatian vineyards and visit all four Dalmatian counties. In addition, a group of journalists and sommeliers will go on a three-day trip Vino Dalmacija & Croatia Full Of Life, and then take a wine press trip to the island Hvar, Pelješac, Komarna and Dubrovnik.

As such, foreign guests part of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles – Rosé Wines Session will be able to get better acquainted with the wine producing history of Croatia, the potential of Dalmatian wines, and the sheer natural beauty of Dalmatia. In this way, the Dalmatian Wine Association has made sure that the word about Dalmatian wines spreads quickly to foreign markets and wine lovers.

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is otherwise one of the three most important international wine evaluations. It was founded back in 1994 and since 2006 it has been held in a different country every single year. It is divided into four different sessions so that each type of wine can be professionally evaluated depending on its highly specific characteristics.
