January the 21st, 2024 – As the Croatian Air Force takes its fifth Rafale jet, it announces that it will have the most powerful air force between Germany and Greece.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Defense Minister Ivan Anušić recently announced that the fifth Rafale multi-purpose fighter plane has officially become part of the Croatian Army.
“The Republic of Croatia now owns two two-seater and three single-seater Rafales, which we expect to arrive in Croatia soon,” Anušić wrote on Facebook.
HDZ soon took to social media itself, reminding readers that the squadron of the Croatian Air Force will number twelve multi-purpose fighter planes of the 4.5+ generation. “These planes will take to the skies on the anniversary of Operation Flash and on Statehood Day,” they noted.
“The Croatian Air Force will be the most powerful in the area between Germany and Greece! We’ve raised our defence capabilities to a previously unimaginable level, and we’ll continue to do so! There are also Bradley and Patria combat vehicles, Black Hawk helicopters, the Mistral anti-aircraft missile system… We have also returned the Croatian Army to Sinj, Varaždin, Pula, Ploče and Vukovar, and we will also return it to Beli Manastir. A strong army is a guarantee of the security and survival of the state and the Croatian people!” HDZ concluded on Facebook.
