August the 13th, 2025 – Croatian airports have seen a 7.3% traffic increase in June this year compared to June 2024.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Croatian airports served 7.3% more passengers in both June and the first half of this year than they did back during the same period last year. 1.9 million passengers contributed to these significant increases in June this year, and 5.4 million in the first half of the year, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
The increase in the number of passengers at Croatian airports in June this year was accompanied by an increase in aircraft operations of 6%. That figure reached more than 18.7 thousand, and there were 4.6% more operations (aircraft landings and takeoffs) at the level of the first six months of 2025, reaching over 59.9 thousand.
Split ranked in first place this year when looking at Croatian airports thanks to a multitude of summer seasonal airlines. A total of 578.1 thousand passengers passed through Split Airport, representative of 8.2% more than in the same month last year.
All other Croatian airports also recorded a traffic increase in the number of passengers during the month of June, except for Brač, which is also the smallest airport, and where there were 16.1% fewer passengers than in June last year, reaching about 3,500. Split was closely followed by Dubrovnik Airport in June, with 447.2 thousand or 4% more traffic than last year, while Zagreb Airport ranked third with 435.1 thousand passengers or 7.6% more traffic.
Zadar Airport, with 294 thousand passengers recorded this June compared to last year, is up 9%, while Pula Airport saw 94.6 thousand passengers, equal to 12.4% more in June 2025.
