December the 15th, 2025 – Two Croatian bus companies have formed the Busly network, a new platform designed to ramp up the efficiency of bus services.
As Ana Roksandic/Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the merger of two already very well established Croatian bus companies, Arriva Hrvatska and Briona Pula, has created a unique network called Busly. The cooperation between the two companies results in the unification of their existing networks, which will increase the availability of transport and expand the offer operating along crucial intercity routes.
The new Busly network allows for an extremely dense schedule of departures, especially on the busiest of routes. The Zagreb – Rijeka and Zagreb – Karlovac routes have up to 28 daily departures, while the routes up to Istria, including Zagreb – Poreč, Zagreb – Rovinj and Zagreb – Pula, offer up to 18 daily departures. With frequent and stable connections to Zadar, Split, Osijek and numerous other Dalmatian and Istrian cities, it will now be easier for passengers to plan their bus trips regardless of the reasons and frequency of travel.
The most popular routes are available at affordable prices, for example, a ticket from Zagreb to Rijeka starts at a mere 2.50 euros, Zagreb – Zadar from four euros, and Zagreb – Split from five euros. Most trips within Dalmatia, Istria and the continental part of Croatia continue to be among the most competitively priced on the whole market. On the most frequent routes, luggage is included in the price, which further simplifies the travel experience.
According to Eurostat and the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), the number of tourist arrivals and intercity trips made across Europe is continuously growing, which increases the need for reliable transport between cities and key destinations. Such trends confirm the importance of well-organised bus lines connecting larger cities with tourist destinations.
