August the 13th, 2024 – The Croatian heatwave isn’t set to relent just yet, with scorching temperatures and red warnings issued for multiple regions of the country.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, get prepared to sweat as the Croatian heatwave that has dominated the summer season with above average temperatures in the air and in the sea so far is set to continue. The worst of the heat will be on Thursday. According to current forecasts, a red alert will be activated for the whole of Croatia, except for the Zagreb area.

“It’s going to be extremely sunny and hot. It’s best to stay in the shade and drink plenty of fluids,” DHMZ advised on the X (formerly Twitter) platform. Another Croatian heatwave is upon us, and that heat will continue throughout this week. It will be mostly sunny and very, very hot. The wind will be very weak. On the Adriatic coastline at night and in the morning, weak to moderate winds will occur. It will be up to 28 degrees even in the morning on the Adriatic. The highest daily temperature will mostly range from 33 to 38 degrees,” it added.

According to the seven-day map, it will be extremely hot on Saturday as well, but it seems that some cooling down is in sight, with rain eventually hitting the wider Zagreb area this week.
