About Solidarna Foundation

Since its establishment, the Solidarna Foundation has been focused on the community, and thanks to its transparent and efficient ways, it respects the trust of citizens, as well as numerous organizations and corporate partners. Through the Women’s Fund, the Solidarna Foundation assists victims of domestic violence, offering them support and resources to rebuild their lives. Through the Desa & Jerko Baković Fund, Solidarna ensures access to education and a brighter future for children in need.

During the devastating earthquakes that hit Croatia, the foundation’s efficiency surpassed even the state’s. In just two years, they managed to build more houses for the affected families than the Croatian government, offering shelter and comfort to those affected by the disaster. With the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Solidarna Foundation also launched the Solidarno s Ukrajinom Fund to support Ukrainian refugees in Croatia for their integration into Croatian society. Although this nomination is a recognition of previous achievements, it is also a reminder of the challenges here and yet to come. The Solidarna Foundation will continue to work on the protection of human rights, from direct aid to advocating systemic changes, both in the Republic of Croatia and in the region and the European Union.

To date, the Solidarna Foundation has won three awards, including the European Citizen 2022 award from the European Parliament, the Diana Budisavljević Award for Humanity and Justice awarded by the Serbian National Council, and their Marina Škrabalo is the winner of the T-portal – Visionary of the Year Award in the category “Society.”
