Decanter Places Laguna Terra Rossa among 25 World Wines Recommended for Summertime

In its new issue, the wine magazine Decanter listed recommendations of world red wines for everyday summer enjoyment. They are wines selected by Decanter sommelier Christelle Guibert, offering very good value for money, at a price below 25 pounds.

Among the only 25 chosen wines is also the Terra Rossa by Laguna from Istria. Guibert describes Terra Rossa as an exceptionally complex wine for its price. Terra Rossa is a cuvee of Merlot, Teran and Borgonja intended for supermarkets, which could also function quite well in restaurants and bars.

It is a very fresh wine with a deep ruby-purple Teran colour, with an aroma profile ranging from dark summer fruit (blackberry and sour cherry), with very discrete smokiness to chocolate nuances and associations of cola extract. Terra Rossa is an exceptionally merry wine with a medium body, moderate alcohols ad unusual roundness. Terra Rossa from 2013 won a silver medal at Decanter, and the 2015 harvest was even better.
