ZAGREB, October 22, 2018 –  The Association of Croatian American Professionals (ACAP) held its third annual conference in Silicon Valley over the weekend, bringing together over 300 experts, academicians, students and active members of the Croat expat communities in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Scotland, Australia as well as guests from Croatia.

“This annual event is geared to infuse knowledge by our all-star cast of speakers and spark a call to action, community-building, overall goodwill and impactful networking,” Marko Zoretić, president of ACAP, was quoted as saying in a press release issued by the association after the event in Campbell, California.

“Bringing together Croatian-American leaders in this type of in-person forum helps us define the next generation of global Croatian success and prosperity,” reads the press release.

Since last year’s ACAP annual conference in Chicago, the organisation tripled its membership to over 1,000.  The next annual conference is to take place in Cleveland.

The Association of Croatian American Professionals, a non-profit association, “brings together professionals, business leaders, academics, students and community organizers. Our mission is to foster leadership, collaboration and to promote the advancement of issues relevant to the Croatian-American community,” reads the press release.

On 10 October, the ACAP opened its office in Zagreb.

The association also welcomes individuals of non-Croatian heritage who are active in the Croatian community.
