This year’s gathering takes places in the Silicon Valley.
For the third year in a row, the Association of Croatian-American Professionals (ACAP) brings together academics, students, experts and members of various communities from the United States and Croatia. The host of this year’s meeting is the ACAP division headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, reports Večernji List on October 21, 2018.
The organisers say that the three-day programme includes activities on inter-organizational connections, both among individuals and among organizations. Current topics in education, entrepreneurship, technology, medical tourism, biotechnology, arts and entertainment will also be discussed.
“We are excited to organize this year’s conference in Silicon Valley, which has been home to many Croats for centuries and is at the heart of technological innovations,” said Marko Zoretić, the president of ACAP. “This gathering provides our professionals with an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, grow professionally and find potential solutions to some of today’s challenges.”
All the discussions are open to the public, and the conference is held at Villa Ragusa in Campbell. Ivan Grbešić, chairman of the advisory body of the Central State Office for Croats Abroad, will give a lecture at the gala dinner.
Keynote lecturers of the conference are Ivan Đikić, a professor at MF Goethe University and senior scientist at Genentech, Jeffory D. Blackard, CEO and president of Blackard Global, and Luka Mišetić, a lawyer with international experience.
More information about the conference, which takes place from 18 to 21 October under the auspices of the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia in Los Angeles, can be found here.
