October the 8th, 2026 – Dubrovnik Airport might surpass the figure of 3.2 million passengers, with passenger numbers climbing even during the month of September this year.
Dubrovnik Airport continued its passenger traffic growth throughout September this year as well. According to data from the airport itself, Dubrovnik Airport handled 474,212 passengers in September, which is almost 31 thousand more passengers than in the same month last year. Sinisa Malus reports for Poslovni that for comparison, in September 2025 a total of 443,444 passengers passed through Dubrovnik Airport.
Compared to September 2025, the number of passengers increased by 6.9 percent, while the number of operations also rose. Dubrovnik recorded 3,718 operations in September this year, compared to 3,564 operations in the same month last year, which represents growth of approximately 4.3 percent. Growth is also recorded in the first nine months of this year. From the beginning of January to the end of September 2026, Dubrovnik handled a total of 2,820,860 passengers. In the same period last year 2,692,873 passengers were recorded, meaning that Dubrovnik handled almost 128 thousand more passengers in the first nine months of this year, or 4.8 percent more.
Last year, the airport handled a total of 3,090,245 passengers, which means that by the end of September 2026 more than 91 percent of last year’s total traffic had already been achieved, and the airport still has three months ahead of it. While significantly lower traffic is expected in November and December, October should bring strong numbers. Consequently, it would be no surprise if Dubrovnik Airport already matches last year’s figures by the end of October.
