September the 5th, 2026 – Dubrovnik is set to get a new transatlantic route from May 2027, linking the Pearl of the Adriatic with Montreal directly.

Dubrovnik will be directly connected to Montreal from May 2027. Canada’s largest airline, Air Canada, is introducing a seasonal route between the two cities, with the first flight announced for 11 May 2027. As reported by DuList, the new route is part of Air Canada’s expansion for the 2027 summer season, during which the company is also introducing several other new international destinations, including Oslo, Basel, Shannon and Guangzhou.

For Dubrovnik specifically, this is an important step in strengthening direct connectivity with the North American market. Montreal is one of Air Canada’s more significant hubs, so the new route will also open up onward travel options for passengers from Dubrovnik to other Canadian and American cities.

According to data from Air Canada’s sales system, tickets for the new route have already appeared on sale. A return economy-class ticket for travel from 12 to 26 June 2027 is currently selling, for example, for around 1,256 Canadian dollars. Prices can of course change depending on the travel dates and availability. Air Canada has previously operated services to Croatia, and this time the choice has fallen on Dubrovnik. The new route could additionally contribute to attracting Canadian visitors and to extending the tourist season, given that operations begin as early as mid-May. A detailed flight schedule, including the exact number of weekly rotations and the end of seasonal operations, has not yet been published.
