The 12th international conference ”Dubrovnik Forum” was opened this morning at the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel.
As Dubrovacki Dnevnik reported on the 1st of July, 2017, the theme of this year’s conference is ”Adriatic-Mediterranean Cooperation and Security in Southeast Europe”, a subject which focuses on addressing the common challenges of security and stability within the Mediterranean and neighboring areas and regions through enhanced co-operation and the fostering of better dialogue.
This year’s Dubrovnik Forum was officially opened by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, who said that the despite the fact that the European Union is currently facing great challenges, the outlook remains upbeat and optimistic.
”The EU is facing problems today, both internal and external. Still, I am convinced that solidarity, cooperation and dialogue can solve these problems. I’m also convinced that Croatia can be one of the leaders of European unification and enlargement ” concluded Plenkovic.
