The first conference on migrant entrepreneurship will take place in Zagreb April 24 to April 28, 2017. The conference is organized by the Centre for Peace Studies and AMSED in cooperation with the social cooperative Taste of Home (Okus doma) and with the support of the US Embassy in Zagreb.
Taste of Home is a culinary-cultural-research project that introduces the culture, customs and countries of origin of refugees and migrants in Croatia by recording their memories of home, smells and tastes of their cuisine. It is one of the civil society organizations that the Centre for Peace Studies has been working with in order to improve integration and economic emancipation of migrants in Croatian society.

The conference will consists of keynote lecture and panel discussion on characteristics, opportunities and challenges of migrant entrepreneurship, sharing best practice examples, entrepreneurial fair and train-the-entrepreneurs program led by experienced mentors.
