First Croatian Craft Beer and Burger Bar on Dalmatian Islands to Open in Jelsa, Hvar

The Croatian Craft Beer revolution continues, with the announcement on April 22, 2016 that the first dedicated Croatian craft beer and burger will on open on the Dalmatian islands. 

While Croatian wine is attracting increasing international plaudits, there is a quiet revolution going on in the Croatian beer industry, with the emergence of several small but increasingly high quality craft beer producers, several of which have been featured on TCN in recent months. 

In a sign of the growing confidence of this emerging industry, the first beer and burger bar, stocking just Croatian craft beers. Among those which will be available are Zmajska pivovara, Vunetovo from Hvar, Bura brewery, LAB brewery (draught Barba beer), pivnica Medvedgrad, Brlog Zadar, and Red Baron, about 15 in all.

Named the Flying Pig, the new bar will open for the season on May 20. TCN contacted owner Maja Bucic Grabic for more information on the latest piece of good news for the Croatian craft beer industry.
