September the 21st, 2025 – The popular Flydubai has been recording excellent growth in its Zagreb flights, with significant increases compared to 2024.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Flydubai successfully carried 45,523 passengers on its flights to Zagreb in the first half of this year, an increase of 22.1 percent compared to the same period in 2024, representative of an additional 8,243 passengers.

The average cabin load factor during that six-month period stood at 75.8 percent, according to a report from Ex-Yu Aviation News. The total capacity of Flydubai for its Zagreb flights increased by 8.6 percent compared to 2024, or by 4,775 seats.

The numbers on this route are still 15 percent below pre-pandemic levels when Emirates maintained part-year operations with its Boeing 777 aircraft. Flydubai is now on track to overtake its Gulf rival, Qatar Airways, for the first time on the route to Zagreb from the Qatari capital of Doha.

Otherwise, during the month of July this year, there were 2.3 million passengers recorded overall at Croatian airports. That figure is representative of a 5.5 percent increase compared to July last year. The highest volume of passengers, 783,000 of them in total, passed through Split Airport. That Dalmatian airport has seen increases of 4.7 percent according to last week’s data issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

Dubrovnik Airport followed with 538,000 passengers, or 3.3 percent more, while Zagreb Airport came third with 467,000 passengers, an increase of 8.4 percent compared to July last year. If these excellent trends continue, Zagreb Airport could achieve a record number of passengers this year.
