October the 15th, 2025 – Iberia is introducing more seasonal Zagreb and Ljubljana flights in 2026, with the company’s presence in both cities ramping up.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the popular airline Iberia will expand its seasonal operations from the Spanish capital of Madrid to both Ljubljana and Zagreb during the 2026 summer season.
Iberia will increase its Zagreb flights in 2026, upping its frequency during the 2026 summer season and resuming its connection with the Croatian capital city on March the 4th, 2026, one entire month earlier than was the case this year, when Iberia services between Madrid and Zagreb resumed on April the 5th.
The airline plans to operate two weekly flights for most of the month of March, four weeks in April (up from three), four throughout May (up from two), five in June (up from four), eight in July (up from six) and nine weekly flights during August, Ex-Yu Aviation News reports. Looking at September next year, Iberia will offer six weekly rotations, up from four this year. The carrier is also expected to resume flights to Zagreb during October and November 2026.
Iberia has its eyes on another nearby capital city for 2026, as well. The well known Spanish carrier will resume flights to the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana much later next year, more specifically on June the 2nd, with a twice-weekly service running until September the 25th, 2026. This is a significant extension compared to the 2025 season, when services were in operation for a very short time, specifically between July the 27th and September the 7th.
In total, Spain’s Iberia plans to operate 31 flights to Ljubljana next year, compared to just 13 this summer. The company has made 5,298 seats available in each direction on the route for 2026, an increase of 141 percent compared to the previous year. Currently, all flights are planned to be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft.
