only four locations were less than exceptional

Excellent swimming seawater quality was recorded at 218 measuring points. Good quality was also recorded at one location, in Ližnjan at Matićev Pisk below the hotel. At three locations, the sea received a satisfactory rating only. These are AC Kažela – FKK in Medulin, Tarska vala in the Tar-Vabriga area, and the location near Hotel Molindrio in Poreč.
bacteria measuring

When examining the seawater, the quantities of intestinal enterococci and the bacterium Escherichia coli are determined as indicators of microbiological pollution. During the sampling process, meteorological conditions, sea temperature and salinity, as well as any visible pollution, are also recorded.
Based on the results of individual samples, the sea is classified as excellent, good or satisfactory. The results of all individual examinations are available via the online application of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition.
