Ivica Todorić’s Property, Shares and Accounts Blocked

He may be safe in the United Kingdom, but the hounds can still smell him…

Life truly is a rollercoaster for Ivica Todorić, from accusatory blog posts aimed at quite literally all and sundry, to filing criminal charges, to making bizarre claims about having met with the Prime Minister in the dead of night and being given chocolate – one thing nobody can say about the former owner of Croatia’s largest and most economically significant private company is that he is boring.

While the former Agrokor boss has managed to go from gracing the glossy pages of Forbes magazine as one of Croatia’s richest to an unflattering photo splashed across Europol’s most wanted, and then somehow back to the relative safety of being a very wealthy citizen of a deeply desired location in London all within rather a short timeframe, his property, finances and assets aren’t quite as secure.

As N1 reports and Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 24th of November, 2017, the ex boss has had pretty much everything he owns that is worth anything – blocked by the state.

Zagreb’s County Court responded positively to a request which pleaded for the blocking of Ivica Todorić’s assets. Agrokor’s formerly untouchable top dog has now had all the real estate under his ownership blocked.

The ruling of the Zagreb County Court states that this block is “a certain provisional measure of securing the confiscation of assets obtained through a criminal offense”.

Owing to the ruling, Todorić’s famous Kulmerovi Dvori, which was otherwise a long-standing and well known symbol of the wealthy Todorić dynasty, two 15,000 square meter land plots in Kloštar Ivanić, where he was born, hunting grounds near Gornji Jeleni and land near Sandrašica have come under proverbial fire from the state.

His business shares in Agrokor Projects that are not in the Agrokor system have also been temporarily seized.

Three of the ex Agrokor boss’ bank accounts with Addiko Bank, Zagrebačka Banka and Kreditna Banka Zagreb, as well as accounts held in numerous banks abroad, have also been placed under a block.
