November the 23rd, 2025 – Popular British airline Jet2 is set to introduce seasonal London Gatwick-Pula flights in spring 2026, further boosting Pula Airports numbers and Pula’s tourism pull.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Jet2 is to introduce seasonal summer flights between London Gatwick and Pula in spring 2026. This comes after the airline announced the opening of a new base at the aforementioned London airport.

The new route will launch on the 2nd of May and will operate weekly until the 17th of October next year using a 232-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft. Jet2 will compete directly with easyJet and TUI on the service. Last week, the British airline signed a four-year contract with the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) to launch new routes and grow their overall capacity on the Croatian market. Based on existing commitments, Pula Airport will be connected to eight British airports during the 2026 summer season – Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted and Manchester. London Gatwick will become Jet2’s fifth route to Pula, joining Birmingham, East Midlands, Manchester and London Stansted.

A few weeks ago, the Croatian National Tourist Board signed a memorandum of cooperation with one of the largest British tour operators, Jet2, which otherwise brings the largest number of British tourists to Croatia, already flying to Dubrovnik, Split and Pula. There was talk of expanding this cooperation over the next four years.

Croatia recently committed to bringing an even larger number of British tourists to Croatia with the memorandum, and some new flights were announced for next year. According to that memorandum, Jet2 also committed to increasing the number of tourists to Croatia by 45%. In September this year, Croatian airports recorded a total of 1.847 million passengers, which is an increase of 6.1% compared to September 2024, when there were 1.741 million. The busiest of all was Split Airport with 558,000 passengers, followed by Zagreb (466,000), Dubrovnik (441,000), Zadar (256,000), Pula (89,000) and Rijeka (28,000).
