City Center One West now offers 100% domestic produce every day until 9 PM
If you are a big fan of produce straight from fields and farms across Croatia, now you can find them all in one place, 7 days a week at the City Center One West shopping mall.
Under the slogan “Mljac, mljac – svi na plac” (Yummy, yummy – let’s all hit the green market), a unique 500m2 indoor green market opened last week within this shopping centre in Zagreb. 362 days a week it will offer nothing but the very best domestic produce including fresh fruits and vegetables, milk and dairy products, homemade pasta, honey, meat products and various other products from family run farms across the country.
Minister of agriculture Tihomir Jakovina was thrilled with this new project ” There are hundreds of family run farms all over Croatia and they all offer top notch produce that compares to anything produced within the EU and this project gives them a new sales channel for their products”.
City plac project manager Damir Glad explained that the market was mostly organised to help younger generations looking for fresh and healthy produce and don’t have time to buy on the city green markets because of their busy schedules. Varied offer and the fact that all stands accept credit cards are definitely attractive and we hope this is just a pilot project that will result in many similar shopping mall green markets opening across Croatia.
