Čipi čips’ design awarded for its “traditional” style.
At the WorldStar Awards event in Budapest, Čipi Čips won the award for best packaging design in the category of food products, reports Večernji List on July 1, 2016.
Among the 293 selected nominations from 34 countries, Čipi Čips Country took the much wanted WorldStar Award for excellence in the packaging design, and thus became the only national winner this year. In Croatia, their packaging had already received the Cropack 2015 Award for the best design in general, so the WorldStar one came as the icing on the cake. This competition accepts applications only from those brands which have already won a national or regional award that is also part of the World Packaging Organisation system.
“The packaging of our products carries a story, conveys a message and is a very important communication tool in establishing the first contact with consumers. We are especially focused on the design, development and production of packaging, and we always strive to give more through design and innovation, while trying to remain a step ahead of the market expectations. After winning the national awards, WPO’s award came as a great recognition for all our work and a motivation for future work and development “, said Dino Bijač, director of marketing and development of the Adria Snack Company.
Čipi Čips Country was presented in 2013, and is characterized by a design that is visually striking and rich in detail, including “farmer in the field” picture on the bag. The design highlights both domestic origin and the superb variety of potato from which it is made. All visuals on the packaging have been hand-painted and then finished with the fine technique of printing on copper which leaves an impression of tradition and old-fashioned potato chips making. Packaging is the result of the joint work of Adria Snack Company and Croatian creative agency Portfolio by Studio Grozić.
Čipi Čips Country is available in three flavours – salt, bacon and smoked cheese. It has been tailored to consumers’ taste and their wishes, including the extra thick cut.
