The three-day event will take place on Strossmayer Square.
After a great success at the car show in Geneva, Rimac Automobili will present the C_Two model in Croatia, reports Index.hr on September 27, 2018.
The event will take place at Josip Juraj Strossmayer Square in Zagreb. The presentations and programme will start at 10 am on Friday and last until 6 pm. On Saturday, the programme will start at 9 am and conclude at 6 pm. On the last day, on Sunday, the presentations will start at 9 am and end at 5 pm.
“Our calendar for this year has been filled with a number of strategically important events and car shows, which is the reason why we have not been able to present C_Two in Croatia before. After years of research and development, we have introduced to the world our second generation car, Rimac C_Two. The prototype was initially presented at the Geneva car show in March.
We wanted to introduce the local audience to our car and technology, and that is why we have decided to organise a three-day event in the centre of Zagreb. We want to present to as many people as possible at least part of what we so passionately and intensively work on in Sveta Nedjelja near Zagreb,” said Mate Rimac.
Although he personally is unlikely to be present at the event due to other business commitments, his team will present C_Two, the Rimac technologies and Greyp Bikes every hour, and will also answer questions from the audience.
C_Two is a fully-electric sports car which achieves the highest speed of 412 km/h, with 1,914 HP, and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.97 seconds. The model was developed from the ground up and has not inherited anything from the first generation, Concept_One, except a goal that it should be the most technologically advanced supercar in the world.
A 120 kWh battery allows a range of 650 kilometres with a single charge. The technology level is also reflected in the processing power of computers built into the car, which is equal to the computational power of 22 MacBook Pro computers. The autonomous driving team currently collects data and tests algorithms that will help them develop autonomous systems for this supercar.
It is expected that 150 units of C_Two will be produced in total, with deliveries set to start in 2020. Majority of the components will be produced in Croatia.
The Rimac team includes more than 400 people and 26 nationalities at company’s premises in Sveta Nedjelja, Split and Osijek. Starting as a pioneer in the area of electric mobility technology, the company has developed into a key vendor of electrification systems for producers of hybrid and electric cars, such as Renault, Seat, Koenigsegg, Aston Martin, Porsche and others. The company is unique in that it develops and manufactures many of the components and parts in-house: from power and battery systems to infotainment to body parts and suspension.
At the event in Zagreb, it will also present some of the technologies which it is developing for other car producers.
