July the 10th, 2025 – The Croatian-made Nevera R, the product of entrepreneur and automotive enthusiast Mate Rimac, has broken 24 records and officially become the fastest electric car on Earth.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, on top of managing to achieve an impressive new 0-400-0 km/h time of 25.79 seconds, beating the previous record holder by 2.04 seconds, the Nevera R also reached a top speed of 431.45 km/h. This speed officially made the Nevera R the fastest production electric car in the entire world.
Croatia’s talented Rimac team therefore proved once again that it boasts some of the absolute best engineers and designers in the world, pushing the boundaries of what is considered possible. The gorgeous Nevera R is now on top with new benchmark times in all categories.
Building on the legacy of the original Nevera, which set 23 records in one day on the ATP circuit in Germany back in 2023, the Nevera R has now surpassed all of those results in becoming the globe’s fastest electric car. In high-speed mode, and with independent confirmation from Dewesoft, this final test before delivery to customers shows how far the Nevera R has actually advanced in performance.

Performance improvements are the result of a thorough engineering redesign of major components. Those improvements include a new aerodynamic package (a 15% increase in downforce and 10% better efficiency), new Michelin Cup 2 tires (10% less understeer, 5% better grip), a new generation Rimac Technology 108 kWh battery system and an advanced all-wheel drive system, which adjusts power delivery to each wheel 100 times per second. The Nevera R delivers 2,107 hp through four motors, enabling extreme performance without compromising on everyday usability. Limited to just 40 examples, with a starting price of 2.3 million euros, the Nevera R holds the title of the fastest and most versatile electric car of today.
“When we first introduced the Nevera, it felt like we’d reached the absolute pinnacle of hypercar performance. In just one generation, we’ve made a leap that would have previously taken decades. But now, thanks to relentless innovation, the Nevera R goes even faster, while maintaining the comfort and practicality that make the Nevera an everyday car. Breaking records is in our DNA and we don’t intend to just stop here,” teased Mate Rimac, founder of the Rimac Group.
