May the 27th, 2025 – Croatian entrepreneur Mate Rimac presented the beautiful Nevera R in a very fitting location – Grand Prix weekend in Monaco.
Mate Rimac made the world pay attention to Croatian innovation, starting from the humble beginnings of a garage. Croatia once had absolutely zero automotive industry to speak of, being loosely (and rather embarrassingly) associated with the infamous Yugo only. Now, the stunning creations that have poured out of Rimac’s factory have impressed the world. The latest of his feats is the gorgeous Nevera R.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, over the weekend in the world of Formula 1, the talented Mate Rimac added an extra dose of glamour to the principality with the Rimac Nevera and the latest Nevera R models. Rimac and his Nevera R took centre stage over the Grand Prix weekend in one of Monaco’s most iconic settings. In a moneyed environment where the most advanced racing cars have competed over the decades on a historic 1950’s track, surrounded by luxury yachts, Croatia’s Rimac presented what he considers to be the pinnacle of hypercar technology – his very own Nevera R.
“The Monaco Grand Prix weekend is one of the most legendary events in motor sport. The most advanced cars take to a track that has remained virtually unchanged for decades, and they do it in the company of the most demanding car enthusiasts from around the world. We’re here to present what we believe is the most advanced hypercar ever created,” said Mate Rimac, Founder and President of the Rimac Group and CEO of Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Technology.
Rimac’s website states that the gorgeous Nevera R embodies everything that makes Monaco special: uncompromising performance, stunning design and absolute exclusivity.
Rimac and his presentation of the new Nevera R over the Grand Prix weekend went far from unnoticed. This vehicle represents the most focused and dynamic version of the current Nevera model. It was developed with a focus on improved cornering stability and handling, but without sacrificing comfort or everyday usability. With an aggressive aerodynamics package the Nevera R generates 15 percent more down-force, with 10 percent better overall aerodynamic efficiency compared to the standard Nevera.
This Croatian car is equipped with a new generation Rimac battery with a capacity of 108 kWh and four-wheel drive consisting of four electric motors with a total power of 2,107 horsepower. The result is figures that rival those of race cars – acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) takes a mere 1.74 seconds, while 300 km/h is reached in a staggering 8.66 seconds. The Nevera R’s top speed is 412 km/h. For additional driving precision, there is an improved All-Wheel Torque Vectoring system and Michelin Cup 2 tires, designed for top performance in all kinds of demanding conditions.
