You’ll be waiting a lot longer than usual for a tram in Novi Zagreb as of next week…
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 31st of July, 2018, as of Monday the 6th of August, tram traffic to Novi Zagreb will be suspended for a year and a half.
The reason for this is the reconstruction of the Remetinec rotor, during which a new bus line will take the place of tram services.
As Radio Sljeme reports, on Monday, August the 6th, trams 7 and 14 will stop driving through Novi Zagreb. Line 7 will turn to Sopot, and line 14 to Savski most (bridge).
Instead of a tram, the 607 bus line will travel the route between Savski most and Sopot, taking the following route: Savski most – Stjepan Radić student halls – Savski gaj – Trnsko – Velesajam – MSU – Sopot.
From Središće, the bus route will be: Sopot – MSU – Velesajam – Trnsko – Savski gaj – Savski bridge. Line 607 will otherwise use the usual stops and lay-bys taken by the 109 and 222 bus lines.
ZET is set to publish more detailed information soon.
