May the 10th, 2026 – The gorgeous Pelješac peninsula is set to have its entire tourism image raised with the opening of a brand new 5* hotel – Hotel Katarina.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Hotel Katarina has officially opened its first season in southern Dalmatia. It is the second property in Orebić operating under the prestigious international Relais & Châteaux brand, alongside the already established Korta Katarina Villa & Winery. This makes Orebić one of the few destinations on the entire Adriatic with two properties within this exclusive collection, further contributing to its international visibility.
The new luxury accommodation facility represents a significant step forward in the development of tourism on the beautiful Pelješac peninsula and concretely confirms the direction of the destination’s development towards higher added-value tourism.
The opening of this new hotel represents not only a new tourist offer, but also an important economic impulse for the local community. The project brings new jobs and opens up space for cooperation with local producers, caterers and service providers. The emphasis on the authentic gastronomy and wine culture of Pelješac further stimulates the development of local agriculture and the promotion of the whole region.
The grand opening was held on the hotel terraces and in the gardens by the sea, where guests gathered to toast the beginning of a new era on the Pelješac peninsula.
