Lauren Simmonds

An accident today in Mali Lošinj saw no fatalities.

As Morski writes on the 8th of August, 2018, when landing at the airport in Mali Lošinj at round 11:52 this morning, a Piper PA-28 aircraft experienced problems and crashed. At the time of the accident, four people were on board, a pilot and three passengers, all of whom are Italian nationals.

Luckily, the accident saw no fatalities but four people were injured, the Air, Maritime and Railway Accident Investigation Agency announced.

Two people left the wreckage under their own power while another two were pulled out with the aid of firefighters.

Immediately after the alert from the Ministry of the Interior, investigators from the aforementioned agency were sent to the site to collect evidence and properly evaluate all of the necessary information. The investigation into just what happened to the aircraft remains in progress and more information will be known as it draws to a close.

After the completed investigation, the final results of what exactly occurred will be publicly released on the Air Traffic, Maritime and Rail Traffic Crash Investigation Agency’s website in the form of a completed/final report on the aircraft accident, a statement says.
