Foreign Minister to Visit India and South Korea

ZAGREB, October 21, 2018 – Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Marija Pejčinović Buric will officially visit India on October 22 and South Korea on October 23-24, her ministry said in a statement.

During her visit to India, which is the first visit of a Croatian foreign minister to that country after 17 years, Pejčinović Burić will hold talks with her Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj.

The two officials will sign an agreement on remunerated activities of members of diplomatic missions or consular offices and their family members and a programme of cultural cooperation for the period 2019-2022.

Pejčinović Burić is also scheduled to meet with Parliament Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

During her visit to South Korea, the Croatian minister will meet with her Korean counterpart Kang Kyung-wha, Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon, Deputy Parliament Speaker Joo Seung-yong as well as members of the Korean-Croatian parliamentary friendship group. She will also visit Hankuk University and open Croatia’s embassy in Seoul.
