ZAGREB, May 5, 2018 – The opposition MOST party held its eighth “Movement to Stay” convention on Saturday, this time in the coastal town of Metković, presenting seven initiatives “aimed at enabling citizens, notably young people, to plan their future in their country.”

The initiatives refer to demography, the justice system, public administration, energy, enterprise, agriculture and healthcare, the party said in a press release, adding that these were areas many citizens cited as crucial for their decision to leave Croatia.

The party’s experts presented several bills, some of which are already in parliamentary procedure.

President Božo Petrov said at the event that MOST had changed Croatia’s political scene. “Even our biggest political rivals will say that nothing has been the same since MOST appeared. We have set different standards, showing that one can have face even in politics, regardless of the price… wishing to make Croatia a country in which everyone will have equal rights and possibilities.”

MOST is for abolishing fixed-term employment, the press release also said.
