Mrak Taritaš says that Milan Bandić has definitely left a mark not only in Zagreb but also in the whole of Croatia.
“He was a distinctive and different, and the history will make an analysis (of his legacy),” she added.
Mrak Taritaš underscored that Bandić was unsparing in his work and obviously this has taken a toll on his health.
Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić died of a heart attack aged 65 early on Sunday, the city information office said.
The Croatian Peasant Party leader Krešo Beljak said on his Facebook account that he would remember all the nice things connecting him and the deceased mayor of Zagreb and that he had already forgotten all the ugly things.
Beljak, who is the mayor of the city of Samobor, recalled that during the 12 years of his and Bandić’c mayoral terms in these two neighbouring cities in the past 12 years there were many ups and downs.
