The people of Croatia have spoken in a survey evaluating their government and it’s ministers.
Vectura, a public opinion research agency, conducted a survey on Tuesday, July 14th for the television show Veto evaluating the government of Zoran Milanovic and each of his ministers.
The study was conducted on a sample of 520 respondents, which was representative of the entire country of Croatia, and the results show that Finance Minister Boris Lalovac has the highest approval rating with an average of 3.18 on a scale of 1 to 5. He was closely followed by the Minister of Tourism, Darko Lorencin (3.13) and Defense Minister Ante Kotromanovic (3.13) the only other ministers to receive a rating above 3.
Meanwhile the Minister of Health Sinisa Varga (2.19) and Minister of Agriculture Tihomir Jakovina (2.01) found themselves at the very bottom of the list with lowest average ratings. Minister of Culture Berislav Šipuš received an average rating of 2.34, but it should be noted that 27.2% refused to assess his work, most likely because he was only recently appointed to the position.
Although the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusic did not receive the worst score (2.28), she received a rating of 1 more than any other minister, 39.4%. While Milanovic’s government received a score of 2.42 he himself earned an average only slightly higher (2.43). 36.3% of respondents gave him a rating of 1, 19.4% of 2, 19.7% of 3, 13.2% of 4 and 11.1% of 5. Only 0.3% of respondents did not know how to assess Milanovic.
